At Cálzate a Medida, we analyze the relationship between the foot, the last, and the construction to improve the actual fit of the shoe.

We start with existing lasts or new designs, and use digital foot data and technical manufacturing parameters to optimize fit, sizing, and standardization of sizes.

Our approach isn’t just a rough guess.

The vision and expertise behind Cálzate a medida

Cálzate a medida was born from a combination of in-depth technical expertise and market insight.

José Ramón has been dedicated to the development and manufacture of shoe lasts for over 27 years. His experience spans both the domestic and international footwear markets, working with brands that demand precision, consistent sizing, and reliable production. His specialty is not just making shoe lasts, but understanding how they should perform across different sizes, markets, and shoe styles.

María José brings more than 25 years of experience in customer service, fashion, and business development. Her knowledge of the market and consumer behavior enables her to translate technical insights into concrete brand strategies.

The project began in 2020 with a clear goal: to demonstrate that “custom-made” footwear can be precise, scalable, and profitable.

Today, we work with brands and manufacturers looking to reduce returns, optimize scaling, and adapt their products to different distribution markets.
